Levels of Study: Youniversity Music Minor*

The Youniversity Minor represents a course of music study that includes instruction in performance (music lessons) as well as music theory, ear training, and analysis on a weekly basis.

Prerequisite

  • Students must be at least 7 years of age

Program Requirements

  • Weekly music lessons of 30 minutes or longer

  • Weekly tutorial sessions in music theoretical areas of 30 minutes or longer

  • Students enrolled in the Minor pursue The Royal Conservatory Music Development Program on an ongoing basis and participate in the annual assessments

  • Students perform at least twice a year in special public showcase recitals offered by The YOU
